Done and working fine. Put the adapter on a NIC that is set as the DMZ, orange zone. Configure the orange zone as required, say 192.168.100.1. Set the adapter with a static address, say 192.168.100. 10.
Connect everything, cycle adapter power. Done.
To keep the adapter from resettng to DHCP when AX pushes new weekly dialplans do the following.
Contact AX tech, tell them you want the static address pushed. They will request MAC, static IP, gateway, etc. Provide same and wait for reply ( 2 days for me). Follow directions provided.
